About the artist

Jessie Roundy

Original paintings and prints.

When I was little, no older than five, I found the thing I feared most. Time. It was not a clock on the wall. It was a circle that did not stop, and death sat inside it. I could not say that out loud, so I learned to draw.

Art is still how I tell the truth, and how I live with that truth. I kept at it, tried new media, and let the work change me. I earned an Associate of Arts from Western Wyoming Community College. In July 2022 I moved to Arkansas to build a life as a full-time artist.

I make thought-provoking art. The pictures are meant to hold you in a question, not hand you an answer. I also work in photography, ceramics, and wire sculpture. I want to keep making work until more of the world can see through my eyes.
